This place is definitely unique. It's one of Utah's oldest operating saloons. The inside is fairly small but that doesn't detract from the place. I think the small size adds to the atmosphere and ambiance. The first thing you'll see is either the hundreds of dollar bills stapled to the ceiling or the stuffed St. Bernard on the wall. The saloon is a 'seat yourself' with their drink menu tacked to the wall near each table and the food menu on their napkin dispensers. Don't be fooled by their popular burger. You get two patties AND a polish dog with the normal fixings of a burger to include grilled onions. If you're wanting something smaller, stick to the Mini Star Burger. It has one less Patty but tastes all the same. It also comes with a bag of chips. I didn't try any of their beer but the drink menu did list a lot of local brews on tap along with the general favorites. The saloon also has a nice area to play pool if you're game.
Favourite beer was on tap; Blue Moon. The Star Burger is the best ever. Try to guess how much money is stapled to the ceiling! Very authentic saloon vibes. Excellent take away candy!
Stopped in for a beer and wanted to see what Shooting Star Saloon was all about. It was amazing and we loved it. It can get crowded instantly. We didn't order food but the kitchen was cranking.
This is the oldest continuously running saloon West of the Mississippi River. Opened in 1879!!!! Quaint atmosphere, friendly service, great food! Worth the drive out to it!
Very cool vibe. It was cool to see this old bar. I would remembered checking it out. But the selection of beer isn’t very big. They have limited options.
11.00 for the star burger, did not disappoint! Amazing old school atmosphere, Waylon, Willie and Cash on the jukebox!
We used to love going here when we lived in Ogden. The last time we were there was in 2019. The food is always Delicious and the atmosphere quirky and Fun. You have to try the Star Burger.
Incredible dive. May be the oldest bar in the state! Feels like a trip back in time. The Star Burger was great. No idea how it all fit on the bun but it did. No alcohol other than beer here. Great staff and we got a mint to finish it all off.
